Review: Request to modify Neighbourhood Area (Early 2025)
On 23 January 2025 the District Council received an application from Carlton in Lindrick Parish Council requesting modification of the Carlton in Lindrick Neighbourhood Area boundary (the boundary that relates to the Neighbourhood Plan). The proposed change concerns the area surrounding Aviary Way. As detailed on the accompanying maps (below), the existing boundary is identified by the dotted line, and the proposed boundary identified by the solid line. The proposal will align the Neighbourhood Area boundary with the boundary of the Parish, itself modified in 2023.

- Map of proposed modification (in detail)
The implications of this proposal, if approved, would be:
- The existing Carlton in Lindrick Neighbourhood Plan would remain in force across the original Neighbourhood Area for time being.
- The emerging review of the existing Neighbourhood Plan would relate only to the area within the revised boundary.
- Subject to adoption, the reviewed Neighbourhood Plan will replace the existing one within the revised Neighbourhood Area. At this point the area currently proposed to be removed from the Neighbourhood Area would cease to be covered by the existing Neighbourhood Plan.
The District Council is consulting interested parties on the application for a period of six weeks, from Tuesday 28 January 2025 until 5PM on Tuesday 11 March 2025. All comments should be made in writing via one of the following methods:
Email: neighbourhoodplanning@bassetlaw.gov.uk
Post: Neighbourhood Planning, Bassetlaw District Council, Queen’s Buildings, Potter Street, Worksop, Notts. S80 2AH.
All comments made in relation to this application will be made available for public inspection and copying.
On conclusion of the consultation, the District Council will consider the proposal and any comments received. Officers will make a recommendation on how to proceed, and this will be considered by the District Council, likely at the meeting on 19 June 2025.
