Rural Monitoring
Rural Monitoring provides up-to-date information to support the delivery of Local Plan Policy ST2 - Housing Growth in Rural Bassetlaw.
This update reflects the adopted approach in the Local Plan and covers the Plan period from 1 April 2020.
How to use Rural Monitoring
- Column A – lists the rural settlements identified by Policy ST2
- Columns C-G - identify the number of dwellings completed for each settlement per year since 1 April 2020
- Column H – identifies the number of dwellings with planning permission for each settlement up to 31 March 2025
- Column I – identifies the number of dwellings allocated in the Local Plan or a Neighbourhood Plan (less than 5 years old) without planning permission
- Column L – sets out the minimum housing requirement per settlement as identified by Local Plan Policy ST2. 20% growth for each Large Rural Settlement and 5% growth for each Small Rural Settlement.
- Column N – shows whether a settlement has reached the minimum housing requirement. RED means that the minimum requirement has been met or exceeded. BLUE means the minimum requirement has not been met.
Completions made before 1 April 2020 have not been included. For the purposes of housing delivery only where a neighbourhood plan is more than 5 years old, site allocations without planning permission are not included. Planning permissions granted before 1 April 2020 but expected to deliver housing in the Plan period have been included.
Where the minimum housing requirement has been met, further housing growth in a settlement may be permitted. Proposals will be managed by Policy ST2, other relevant policies in the Local Plan and made Neighbourhood Plans.
Rural monitoring is updated on a bi-monthly basis. If you have any queries please email planningpolicy@bassetlaw.gov.uk
