Adoption statement of the Bassetlaw Local Plan 2020-2038
Notice is hereby given that on 29 May 2024 Bassetlaw District Council in accordance with regulations 17 and 26 of the Town and Country Planning (Local Planning) (England) Regulations 2012 adopted the Bassetlaw Local Plan 2020-2038 (a Development Plan Document) under the provisions of section 23 of the Planning and Compulsory Purchase Act 2004 (as amended).
The Bassetlaw Local Plan sets out the broad spatial planning and policy framework for Bassetlaw District up to 2038.
Any person who is aggrieved by the Local Plan may make an application to the High Court under Section 113 of the Planning and Compulsory Purchase Act 2004 on the grounds that
(a) the document is not within the appropriate power;
(b) a procedural requirement has not been complied with.
Any application must be made no later than the end of the six-week period starting from the date of adoption(date of adoption was 29 May 2024).
The Bassetlaw Local Plan was the subject of an examination by independent Planning Inspectors, and the Main Modifications of the Inspectors, and reasons, are set out in the form of an Inspector’s Report. The adopted Local Plan incorporates all the Main Modifications, and the Additional Modifications made by the Council which taken together do not materially affect the Plan.
