Cllr Darrell Pulk, Cabinet Member for Environment and Energy said:
“I want to reassure residents of Bassetlaw that we are fully committed to continuing our weekly bin collections.
"We currently collect from every household in the district – approximately 56k households every week. This will continue – every week to every house.
“We are looking to improve and enhance our collections moving forward, including plans to collect more recyclable materials following publication in May this year of the Government’s Simpler Recycling Reforms as part of the Environment Act 2021.
“I’d like to reassure residents we are going to continue with our weekly collections contrary to things you might have seen on Facebook.”
