Acts of Remembrance will take place in Worksop and Retford on the 27th July 2023, marking 70 years since the end of the Korean War.
Worksop:
A simple act of remembrance led by the Rev Peter Stanley. Worksop branch of the Royal British Legion will lay a wreath along with the Chairman of Bassetlaw District Council and the Mayor of Worksop.
Commences at 12:00noon in the Memorial Gardens, Memorial Avenue, Worksop.
Retford:
Act of remembrance to commemorate the 70th anniversary of the end of the Korean War.
Reading by the Mayor of Retford followed by two minutes silence and the laying of wreaths. The National Anthem will be sung before the parade is dismissed.
Parade takes position at 10:50am, Retford Market Square.
