A referendum is taking place on a proposed Neighbourhood Plan for Retford Town Centre.
Registered businesses and eligible residents in the area covered by the proposal will be able to vote on Thursday 14th November at The Buttermarket in Retford. Residents are reminded they need a valid form of photo ID to vote.
The referendum asks: ‘Do you want Bassetlaw District Council to use the Neighbourhood Plan for Retford Town Centre to help it decide planning applications in the neighbourhood area?’
The poll opens at 7:00am and closes at 10:00pm.
A simple majority of over 50% of the vote of both business and residents will determine whether the plan is adopted or not.
