Retford Rotary Family Santa Fun Run

Description

The fun starts in the Market Square with a warm-up for participants at 9.50 am, and the actual fun run will be started by the Town Mayor at 10am.

Suitable for all ages, there is a 1.2 miles (1.9 km) circular route around and through Kings Park with an optional extension to 1.9 miles (3 km).

Running is not obligatory – participation and fun is the aim of the day. The event is set to benefit the Bassetlaw Food Bank, Focus on Young people in Bassetlaw and the local Rotary Charity Fund.

Places are limited for this first event, and it is recommended to book as soon as possible through the Rotary Club website under the ‘Santa Run’ tab. You can also come in person to the Santa Run stall that will be on the Retford Market between 11am and 1pm on Saturday 3rd December, and in town on the 10th December.

Adult entry (age 17 and over) is £10 including an adult sized Santa Suit, and child entry (age 16 and under) is £3.00 including a Santa Hat. All runners will be issued with an official race number that must be worn during the event, and children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult.

There will even be a medal at the end of the run!
