Voids Co-ordinator - Person Specification

Job title: Voids Co-ordinator

Key requirements:

  • Priority 1 – Could not do the job without this
  • Priority 2 – Could not do the job without this, but provided have Priority 1 criteria, this could be developed in the job over an acceptable period
  • Priority 3 – Would enhance performance in the job, but is not essential

Qualifications

  • NVQ Level 4 Housing or Building related qualification or equivalent specific and relevant experience gained over a minimum period of 2 or 3 years of working in a similar environment. (Priority 1)

Knowledge

  • Good knowledge of current housing issues and legislation, particularly in relation to the management and maintenance of empty properties. (Priority 1)

Experience

  • Experience of managing and motivating teams. (Priority 1)
  • Experience of using IT systems, including Microsoft Office and large management information systems e.g. Northgate. (Priority 1)
  • Experience of managing contracts. (Priority 1)

Skills

  • The ability to collect and prepare information and reports with appropriate detail, clarity and the evidence for management use. (Priority 1)
  • Ability to input, extract and interpret information from IT systems. (Priority 1)
  • The ability to manage and prioritise own workloads and those of a busy team including meeting competing demands. (Priority 1)
