Qualifications

  1. CIH Level 4 in Housing Studies or able to demonstrate a similar level of experience. Priority 1

Knowledge

  1. A good working knowledge of the roles and responsibilities of Health and Social Services. Priority 1.
  2. Knowledge of the Council’s tenancy management, anti-social behaviour, allocations, homelessness and tenant involvement policies and procedures. Priority 1

Experience

  1. A good working knowledge of housing issues and law in relation to welfare benefits and entitlement, how to claim then and care and support for tenants. Priority 1
  2. A minimum of three years experience of working within a similar or related field/environment with significant and relevant experience and with a least one-year experience in a tenancy sustainment/support role. Priority 2

Skills

  1. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to communicate clearly, sensitively and effectively with people having a broad range of roles and capabilities. Priority 1
  2. An ability to advise and assist people having a range of motivations and abilities about maximising income, reducing expenditure and prioritising and controlling debt. Priority 1
