Job title: Street Cleaning Operative (Toilet Attendant)

Priority 1 – Could not do the job without this

Priority 2 – Could not do the job without this, but provided have Priority 1 criteria, this could be developed in the job over an acceptable period

Priority 3 – Would enhance performance in the job, but is not essential.

Qualifications

1. NVQ Level 2 in Waste Management (Priority 3)
2. Have a clean/full standard car driving licence (Priority 3)

Knowledge

3. To understand Health and Safety requirements in relation to the role and the work of Environment Services. (Priority 2)

Experience

4. Experience of working within a similar role (Priority 2)

Skills

5. Be able to carry out physically demanding work including cleaning, pushing, pulling, bending, carrying and lifting heavy weights on a frequent and repetitive basis, and walking considerable distances. (Priority 1)
6. The ability to work independently and in a team environment. (Priority 1)
7. The ability to be flexible and work across the various activities undertaken by Environment Services. (Priority 1)
8. Be able to deal with customers/residents in a calm, polite and friendly manner. (Priority 1)
9. Be able to understand written instructions, policies and procedures. (Priority 1)
