Job title: Mechanical and Electrical Engineer

Key requirements:

Priority 3 – Would enhance performance in the job, but is not essential

Qualifications 

1. A minimum of HNC/HND in either plumbing, electrical or building construction. (Priority 1)
2. P405 Asbestos certificate. (Priority 1)

Knowledge

1. Knowledge of IT applications e.g. Word & Excel (Priority 1)
2. Excellent working knowledge of statutory and building compliance regulations. (Priority 1)
3. Knowledge of health and safety practises. (Priority 1)

Experience

1. Significant experience of working in a building maintenance, electrical or mechanical environment including management of preventative and planned maintenance (PPM). (Priority 1)
2. Experience of site/asset inspections. (Priority 1)
3. Experience of managing contractors. (Priority 1)
4. Experience of working to tight deadlines and in a performance driven environment. (Priority 1)

Skills

1. Ability to work successfully as part of a team and using own initiative. (Priority 2)
2. Ability to convey technical information received from contractors to completion. (Priority 1)
3. Ability to analyse technical data received from mechanical and electrical contractors. (Priority 1)
4. Ability to think creatively and propose innovative solutions to technical problems. (Priority 2)
5. Experience with project management and the ability to manage projects. (Priority 1)
6. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. (Priority 1)

Personal Attributes

1. Full current driving licence and access to a car for work purposes. (Priority 1)
