Job title: Housing Officer (Tenancy Management)
Responsible to: Tenancy and Estate Manager
Job Purpose: The post-holder will be responsible for delivering a customer focused, high quality Tenancy and Estates Management Service within a designated area of the District, ensuring tenants are complying with the terms of their Tenancy Agreement.
Key Responsibilities:
- To effectively and efficiently manage tenancy related matters
- Maintain a highly visible profile on estates and areas where Council properties are located
- To deal with and investigate Anti-Social Behaviour as appropriate
- To liaise and work closely with colleagues, other relevant organisations to deliver an effective service
- Responsible for the monitoring and management of own case load in line with performance targets / instructions
- Contribute to the development of policies and procedures involving the Tenancy and Estates Service
The post holder is required to carry out any other duties appropriate for the grade and responsibility level of the post.
The post holder will be required to comply with relevant legislation and in accordance with the Council’s policies and procedures.
The post holder will be employed under the NJC Conditions of Service for Local Government Services.
