Qualifications
1. Degree or equivalent in appropriate genre or relevant equivalent experience – Priority One
2. Membership of a Professional Body e.g. RICS – Priority Two
Knowledge
1. Knowledge of current construction issues, legislation and best practice – Priority One
2. Knowledge of building material, construction, trade practices, building regulations and building maintenance functions and planning and budgeting of works. – Priority One
Experience
1. A minimum of two years experience of working within the housing sector, in a comparable position within Housing or Asset Management. – Priority One
2. Specific experience in terms of procurement, in all forms, and project delivery – Priority One
Skills
1. Able to understand and adhere to complex regulations and procedures and to effectively assimilate procedural and technical detail – Priority One
2. Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate clearly, sensitively and effectively, both verbally and in writing, with a broad range of people, including colleagues, service users, elected members and representatives of external agencies – Priority One
3. The ability to collect and prepare information and reports with appropriate detail, clarity and the evidence for management use. – Priority One
