Integrated Pollution Prevention and Control (ICCP)

Part A1 Processes

Environment Agency Includes the largest and most polluting industrial processes including power stations, nuclear treatment facilities, pharmaceutical production and milling processes Regulates emissions to air, land and water. Also regulate the impacts of noise, waste and energy efficiency.

Local Authority Integrated Pollution Prevention and Control (LA-IPPC) 

Part A2 Processes

Local Authority Includes processes which pose a moderate risk of pollution to the environment including ferrous metal foundries, solvent coating processes, brick works and incinerators. Regulates emissions to air, land and water. Also regulate the impacts of noise, waste and energy efficiency. 

Local Authority and Pollution Prevention and Control (LA-PPC)

Part B Processes

Local Authority Include processes which pose the lowest risk of pollution to the environment including cement batching plants, petrol stations and dry cleaners. Regulates emissions to air only.
