The Smoke & Carbon Monoxide Alarm (ENG) Regulations 2015
On the 1st October 2015 these regulations came into force.
The regulations require all Landlords within England of privately rented properties to ensure that smoke alarms and carbon monoxide detectors are installed in their properties to increase safety in the home.
Failure to comply with the regulations can result in fines of up to £5000.
