Notice of Referendum

Retford Town Centre Neighbourhood Plan (Residential).

Referendum on the adoption of the Retford Town Centre Neighbourhood Plan.

  1. A referendum will be held on Thursday, 14th November 2024 to decide on the Question below:

    ‘Do you want Bassetlaw District Council to use the Neighbourhood Plan for Retford Town Centre to help it decide planning applications in the neighbourhood area?'

  2. Applications to be included on the register of electors for this election must be received no later than Tuesday 29th October 2024. Applications can be made online: www.gov.uk/register-to-vote.

  3. New applications for, or amendments or cancellations of postal votes and amendments or cancellations of existing proxy votes must reach the Electoral Registration Officer at Queens Buildings, Potter Street, Worksop, Nottinghamshire,S80 2AH, by 5 pm on Wednesday, 30th October 2024.

  4. Applications for a Voter Authority Certificate or an Anonymous Elector’s Document valid for this election must reach the Electoral Registration Officer by 5pm on Wednesday, 6th November 2024. Applications for a Voter Authority Certificate can be made online: www.gov.uk/apply-for-photo-id-voter-authority-certificate

  5. New applications to vote by proxy at this referendum must reach the Electoral Registration Officer at the above address by 5 pm on Wednesday, 6th November 2024.

  6. Applications to vote by proxy at this referendum applied for on grounds of physical incapacity, or because of work reason that occurred after 5 pm on Wednesday, 6th November 2024 must reach the Electoral Registration Officer at Queens Buildings, Potter Street, Worksop, Nottinghamshire, S80 2AH by 5 pm on Thursday, 14th November 2024.
