Royal British Legion - Retford Branch

The Branch meets at 19.30hrs on the first Monday of every month at the Babworth Sports & Social Club in Retford DN22 7NJ.

Royal British Legion - Worksop Branch

The Branch meets at 19:30hrs the last Thursday of every month at Kilton Forest Golf Club ,Blyth Road, Worksop, S81 0TL

Worksop Branch Worcestershire and Sherwood Foresters Regimental Association (WFRA)

The Worcestershire and Sherwood Foresters Regiment (WFR) was an infantry regiment of the British Army and was the county regiment for Derbyshire, Nottinghamshire and Worcestershire from 1970 to 2007.  The aim of Worksop Branch WFRA is to facilitate contact between veterans of the Regiment and its antecedent Regiments in order to foster mutual friendship and provide social gatherings whilst:

  1. Honouring the memory of members of the WFR, its former Regiments and its successors in The Mercian Regiment, particularly those who served in wartime or on operational duty.
  2. Supporting the Regimental Pilgrimage at Crich on the first Sunday in July and other Regimental events in order to preserve WFR traditions.
  3. Maintaining links with our successors in The Mercian Regiment so that WFRA members are aware of Regimental events, such as Freedom Parades and other occasions. 
  4. Facilitating visits to commemorations, memorials, parades other place of interest to branch members.
  5. Identifying members in need with a view to offering support or seeking assistance from other organisations when appropriate.

Worksop Branch WFRA meets at 18:00 hrs on the last Sunday of alternate months at The Station Hotel, Carlton Road, Worksop, S80 1PS.

Meets 10.00am -12noon every Saturday at Yates, Victoria Square, Worksop. S80 1DX
