Focus Fest - Puruchothman
Hello there, I’m Puruchothman. Welcome to this blog post. During the months of April and May, Bassetlaw Youth Council had been helping with some amazing projects one of them was Focus Fest. It is an online digital arts festival which took place on the immersive, digital and interactive platform Stream Park! It was absolutely amazing!
The Bassetlaw Youth Council, as well other young people such as students from North Notts college, and Bassetlaw’s youth clubs worked in partnership with the charity Focus on Young People in Bassetlaw (FOYPIB) and Inspire Youth Arts as part of the youth production team. The event was hosted on the amazing platform Stream Park which was created by Joel Hall.
We created a design for the map for festival, designed posters, and marketed the festival. And with the help of Joel Hall, we edited many entries for the festival, and created the “fair site”. Even a Robin Hood game was created with help by a games developer for the festival! We gained so many amazing videos, poems, art and photograph entries which represented the true talent of all the young people in Bassetlaw. The project was designed to help young people develop personally, increasing skills that prepare them for life and future employment.
Focus Fest took place on 25th May 2021. There was music, dancing, drama, literature and much more. There were also many fun activities on board and even a raffle as well.
We even presented some of the festival.
Overall, it was a great, fun experience to be involved with such an extraordinary project!
